England's Gate Inn

This historic Inn dating from 1540 has been the focus of local attention for its claims of paranormal activity. There are reports that visitors feel uncomfortable presences, notably in the female toilet area, where some believe they have seen a dark figure in the mirrors. Others claim to have witnessed cold spots, which disappear, have captured light anomalies, been touched by a unseen force, and even pushed onto the floor. Most notably, is the occasion where a picture flew from the wall where it had recently been moved to, this was picked up by a medium and verified as accurate.   With reports of a phantom dog and full apparitions  that have even been conversed with (until they appear to disappear). England's Gate Inn certainly appears to be one of the most paranormally active establishments in Herefordshire.

Did You Know?
England's Gate Inn was the very first location that the Hereford's original paranormal team investigated. It saw the first of many investigations that still continue today and like many investigations allowed those interested to attend for free if names were drawn from a hat.
